information about your fire department and the services we
provide.
Jackson County Fire
District #4 has been providing Emergency Fire & Medical
Response, Swift Water Rescue and High Angle Rescue services to the cities of Shady Cove
and Trail, Oregon since 1956. We are a public department whose
members are a combination of 4 paid staff (Fire Chief and 3
Fire Captains) and 18 volunteers governed by an elected
Board of Directors.
We proudly serve and protect approximately
6,500
residents living in a rural/residential area of 55 square miles along the
Rogue River in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon from
Highway 234 to Lost Creek Lake along Highway 62, and seven
miles up Highway 227 from Highway 62
We provide fire, rescue and first response emergency medical
services to both a rural and a residential population. In
addition to the main Fire Station in Shady Cove, Jackson
County Fire District #4 also maintains a substation at 550
Takelma Drive near Lost Creek Lake in the city of Trail.
In addition to fire, rescue
and first response emergency medical services, J.C. Fire
District #4 also provides many services to the community on
an on-going basis as well as attending and sponsoring
numerous community events.
